Unconventional and Forward thinking are Michelle’s approach to Styling and Costume Design. Michelle has 20 years of combined experience as a Fashion Stylist, Costume Designer and Personal Shopper and has graced many aspects of the fashion and film industry.
Hailing from an ancestral lineage of self-taught cutters, she demonstrated her love of fashion at the early age of 3yrs old. With No formal training, Michelle began constructing garments for herself and friends at age 9. Designing and constructing garments for small music videos, launched Michelle’s career as a fashion stylist.
As a fashion stylist, appearing in front of the camera as well as working behind the scenes. Her expertize lead her to work with Celebrity clients, In house stylist for MTV Canada, Canada’s next Top Model Cycle III, On Camera Style Expert, Editorial & Advertising. In 2017, Michelle’s distinctive personal style was featured in a National Fashion Ad Campaign for Cadillac Fairview Shopping Malls #IAMTORONTOSTYLE as well as an influencer for other major brands
Her indoctrination as a Costume Designer came in 2009 when Michelle landed her first series for MTV US entitled “Valemont”. This allowed for Michelle to combine her knowledge as a clothing designer and stylist. Her perseverance and longevity throughout the years are evident with the projects she’s been involved with; Emmy Award winning The Handmaids Tale, Suicide Squad, Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, Best Man Holiday, Suits and In Contempt.
Michelle recently wrapped her first feature film for Netflix starring Boyd Holbrook and Michael C Hall entitled "In The Shadow of the Moon"
